The Menstrual Cycle Meetup: Womansplaining

Once I heard a man explaining mansplaining to a woman. The fact that he both had insight and lacked a great deal of it at the same time was pretty astonishing to me.

I’m sure any woman, or female presenting person has had many experiences like this. Where we’ve been underestimated, had incorrect assumptions made about us, and been confronted with the fact that we just can’t move through the world in the way that men do.

What has helped me the most in navigating these experiences is the validation and support I’ve gotten from talking to other women.

In this meetup we’ll

✨ Share our experiences navigating gender based discrimination

✨ Provide support and troubleshoot difficult situations

✨ Set the intention of being able to move through these interactions with more confidence

The Cycle Charting meetups are a space to talk about all things related to the menstrual cycle, with a focus on fertility awareness and cycle charting. We’re changing the world one conversation at a time!

What the Community is Saying

“You have a really comforting presence. This has been a great support for me during my fertility journey.” - S.P.

“I attended a Cycle Charting meet-up that Julie hosted this week. She created such a safe space for us all to talk about our cycles, the symptoms we experience as a result, and how frustrating it can be to not have answers about what's best for our own biology. She shares great resources in there, too. If you are looking for someone who's passionate and trained in this, make sure you attend one of her meet-ups” - R.P.

“This group is sooooo valuable for all women… especially for those who never REALLY learned about their bodies and the magic of the menstrual cycle, anyone coming off birth control, trying to conceive, or want to feel more comfortable talking about and being present in their bodies. Highly recommend.” - K.R.
